If you’ve adopted a young city tree, remember to give it 15 gallons of water weekly unless there’s a good soaking rain. The recent rain will provide necessary moisture to new trees for only about a week. After that, it’s up to us to provide water again. This is especially true for street trees.
And remember – just a few weeks of drought can quickly kill a young tree, so consider asking your phone to remind you. Get more tips from on our Summer Tree Care page.
Thanks to all who are helping water trees.
