Tree Stewards and community volunteers did a magic act today in Forest Hill Park – the large pile of wood chips disappeared! In less than 2 hours the wood chips were distributed to 30 trees, large and small, where it will help hold moisture, moderate soil temperature, reduce competetion from weeds (we hope), and improve the soil as it decays.
- Our volunteers for their time and energy.
- The Department of Urban Forestry for arranging to have the wood chips delivered.
- Davey Tree Experts for the wood chips.
- Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts for the use of their wheelbarrows.
