Richmond tree stewards teamed up with Comcast Cares Day volunteers to help restore habitat on a section of Belle Isle on April 30. The rain held off for the day and with the assistance of James River Park System staff and certified tree stewards, Comcast volunteers were able to plant over 100 native trees and shrubs that the Park System purchased with a Forest Service grant. These included service berry, sweet pepper bush, viburnum, button bush, sweet bay magnolia, elderberry, red bud and red chokecherry.

A big thank you to the Comcast volunteers and all who participated!
